Great location, not far off the motorway and about 90 minutes to Calais. The setting was idyllic on the canal, with plenty of outdoor seating where we spent our evening. Private car parking available on owner's driveway. The hosts were friendly and helpful (even though we only have a little French!). Our room was large, with a comfy bed. A fan was provided, as we were in the middle of a heatwave. The bathroom across the landing was clean and spacious, with a good shower. Kettle and drinks available in our room and downstairs in shared lounge. The hosts were happy for us to cook our simple dinner in their shared kitchen in the evening, providing cutlery/crockery/pans and dishwasher. We opted for inclusive breakfast of an excellent selection of bread/fruit/yogurt/jams/cheese/cold meat/pancakes/juice and coffee in a fabulous dining room overlooking canal

Extremely comfortable bedroom and private bathroom with jet spray shower. Pleasant and down to earth hosts. Tranquil setting on canal with outdoor lounges. Elegant and classic furniture throughout. Great value for money. Super quiet village within short drive to town with restaurants, shops etc. 2 hrs to CDG.
