I didn't spend too much time in the room itself — it was an overnight stay and I only had limited time inside the hotel due to the 3pm check-in and other things I was doing in the city — but I can 100% say that the staff made the whole experience for me! I struck up a great rapport with Lorna at the front desk; she's very helpful and absolutely hilarious! We had a great laugh and nice chat every time I came past the reception. Room service was quick and friendly, there was a good selection of cooked food for the time of night that I ordered, the cleaners and maintenance were very polite, and sadly I didn't catch their name but the server I had at breakfast was great as well. Really appreciated the vegetarian option for breakfast because I do find that most hotels won't have one. Usually it's just an egg, beans and toast situation, but the cooked breakfast here was actually filling! I also really appreciate the card and cocktail voucher that was left in the room for my birthday, such a nice touch! The room I had (Club Deluxe) was a very generous size, super spacious with a great view over the canal, King bed so plenty of space to sprawl out in this heatwave. It was nice to have a big desk and somewhere proper to eat, and a great sized bathroom too — it felt like a mini-apartment!
