The staff were nice and I got to check in early and choose which bed I wanted. It is also conveniently located near a metro station and also a bus stop that brings you to Kawaramachi.

This was the oldest place I stayed during my trip to Japan. Although the first impression wasn’t great, the experience turned out to be quite positive. It seems to be run by older residents who live there—they might not come across as very friendly at first, but I believe that’s just their way. They weren’t very talkative, but they gave off a warm and welcoming vibe. The building itself is definitely old, but the atmosphere among the guests made up for it. Everyone was friendly, and people often gathered in the common areas to chat and make new friends.

The Dormitory Hotel is good location close to train station and clean comfortable. The let down is the toilet is on the ground floor but manageable
