It was a good Ryokan experience for our trip. We occupied the 2nd level and thankfully there was no other occupants on the 2nd level during our stay so we literally had the whole level to ourselves which was really nice and convenient. There ia a washing machine & dryer as well as other amenities such a fridge and a cosy dining area on the 1st level. It helps a lot and it was very convenient for us. Host was very friendly and flexible wherever possible. We had a pleasant experience there.

Nice and clean. It had all the items needed for making breakfast, cleaning clothes and taking a shower. Perdect location, just around the corner of many interesting locations.

We were moved to a different property as this was was not available so I can comment on the other one. That one was closer to the city centre. It was my first time sleeping on a Japanese Tatami floor and Mat and I found it a little hard :) my sisters who were with me enjoyed it and did not have trouble sleeping. We enjoyed it as it was our only stay in a traditional house in the month around Japan.
