This was my first time staying at a ryokan, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was surprised by how small the bathroom was (though that wasn't a big deal to us). The hotel service was wonderful. This is a hotel with soul.

Everything was perfect! And I do not use that word lightly. The ladies at reception have great english, all is great. My room ( samurai style ) was authentic. The care very much and nothing is a problem. I was mindblown.

The staff is hands down the best thing about the property. It’s a traditional building and we liked that vibe. Location is close to a station. We chose the Japanese room and loved the futon beds which were super comfy. The Japanese breakfast was great and glad we opted for it.

The staff were lovely, and provided great service! The set up of the room was easily explained and made for a very comfortable room, and the tea and cracker provided was great. The location was perfect though, being so close to the station made travel easy!
