The owner of the guest house, Nori-san, is very approachable and will give good advice on what to do in and around Kyoto. Just ask him. There is also free coffee and tea and a refrigerator for your foodstuff and free lockers for your valuables. There are multiple showers and toilets, and it is clean. The location is close to the Karasuma Oike station, which will give you quick access to public transport. Also close by are the Manga Museum and Nijo Castle.

The room was spacious but right outside we had people sleeping in a place with no door so it was a bit weird.

We had a wonderful time at Guest House Hitsujian! Everything about this place was great! The host was super friendly and helpful, the room and common areas were clean and convenient, the location was great. It was giving traditional Japanese vibes.

The place was very clean and the money/facilities ratio was great. Also, Nori-san was very welcoming and friendly, which I greatly appreciated.
