The property is approximately a 60-minute drive from inner-city Kyoto.Guests can take a JR bus from JR Kyoto Station for approximately 80 minutes and get off at Shuzan Bus Stop. It was the total impression. A unbelievable nice and warm hospitality, the landscape and nature surroundings. A petty that I can't give 11 points here. Every time again we would come to this amazing place

A perfect stay. It was my second time in this house. They are very nice and they gave us some good recommandation about what to visit around here. Specially the Jōshōkō-ji temple and the water fall Takimata. For the waterfall, please remember the name in kanji because there is a crossroads with a small sign with the name of the waterfall in kanji only. There is no internet in the forest! It’s better to come with a car but it’s ok without car if you like cycling and walking. The first time I came (in 2017), I took the bus, and Tanaka Masanori-san kindly picked me up from the bus terminal and brought me to the house. It was very nice. This time (2025) I came with a car and it was perfect to watch a lot of things. And do not go to Takamiya Riding Park. If I understand well, it’s not for tourist (the lady from the riding club seems angry about to see tourists).

The host was welcoming and kind. My kids had a great time participating in traditional activities like cutting wood and heating water. We also enjoyed cooking rice in the traditional Japanese kitchen. Beautiful and memorable days—thank you so much!
