From start to finish our stay at Villa Maria was absolutely amazing. I wish we had stayed there during our whole time in Slovenia. Dean was amazing. He got in touch with me as soon as I made the booking, leading up to the trip and then meeting with us to hand over the keys to this amazing property. He arranged parking for us. He also got us these amazing pastries as a little welcome gift and it was so thoughtful of him. He also presented us with a bottle of the most yummy Olive oil from a local orchard as we checked out. He has totally set the bar high as far as amazing hosts go. Now to the house... Villa Maria - what a beautiful property - inside and outside! We enjoyed every bit of it. The weather was splendid during our stay (not too hot and not too cold). The views from every window and balcony of the house was spectacular - views of the Adriatic, the cruise ships passing by and the loveliest sunrises and sunsets. The beautiful smelling jasmine trellis at the front door just made the whole garden experience all the better. Step outside of Villa Maria and one can swim in the sea right there or walk/cycle down on the path directly in front of the home and you reach a pebbly beach with calm waters and great swimming and food options (5 mins). Everything was so perfect and we loved our time there... we were soooo sad to leave. We can't wait to go back again. Also wanted to point out that the house was sparkling clean at check in and the lovely gardens were so special and immaculate - really cared for with beautiful landscaping and sweet little details. There was also a well-tended to herb garden, BBQ (gas a firewood) facilities on the property and bikes one could use to explore the area and the town centre which was not far away from Villa Maria. Thank you Dean for the amazing experience and opportunity to stay at your lovely property. I want to keep it a secret but how can you not tell the whole world about this exceptional property and amazing host.
