Hotel certainly now dated but well managed by young staff who speak English. Large and high rooms with very efficient ventilation and air conditioning, although not completely silent, chairs and tables, large bed and comfortable mattress, large comfortable bathroom with tub and still modern shower. The TV and Wi-Fi service are also excellent. The large windows of the room that give a balcony overlooking the sea view they allow the deterioration of the outsiders a little. It would have been a quiet stay, without hearing the noises of the traffic below, if it were not disturbed by the trains that pass by until 2:00 am...

Location was excellent, huge terrace overlooking the sea and helpful ,polite staff. The duty manager was particularly helpful and readily available to answer queries. Breakfast was plentiful and served in the room at a time convenient for the guest. Will be using Samudra as my base for my frequent Colombo trips.
