Amazing country cottage. Great location. The host extremely friendly. I would 100% recommend staying here. The garden is nice. Great to sit out and enjoy the countryside

This superb lil cottage was exactly what I needed to my short notice weekend getaway. I chose this place because of how picturesque it looked, and because it was called Robert's Cottage, so I took that as fate haha being a Robert myself....and this place did not disappoint at all.... I would give it 11 out of 10 if I could. The location was perfect, around a 10-min drive from the centre of Kilkenny town. The house was beautiful and equipped with everything you need to settle in straight away, and there is nothing that was absent. The bed was amazingly comfy and the shower was powerful and warm and coul be easily changed to suit... Too many places I have stayed in have an awful shower that doesn't work properly or isn't powerful enough or you can't get the temperature, but this was perfect! The cottage itself was beatuifylly furnished and decorated and you could tell alot of care and thought had gone into it.....again, lots of places usually fall short of the mark in that there is some really good things about it, but might be missing some nice necessities...this place honestly had everything and ive never had that before in a place I've stayed in. The host, Liz, was very accommodating and extremely nice and friendly. She even gave me a lift in to town one of the mornings to collect my car, and we ha a lil stroll, and she told me a lil about her life and the cottage. You couldn't ask for a better host! So if you are looking for a nice secluded, solo getaway, or as a couple...this place is perfection and I could not recommended it enough! And I cant wait to visit it again :D 20/10 ;) :D

Host was wonderful! Great location, less than 10 mins in the car to the town. Gated cottage, ideal for our lil doggo. Pre-famine cottage was beautifully restored. Kitchen facilities perfect for self catering. Cottage has everything you need for a self catering stay in Kilkenny.

Great location! The cottage is very nice and as per the pictures. Loved the fact that it was pet friendly.
