The fine print
If you expect to arrive after 18:00, please contact the property in advance. Contact details can be found on your booking confirmation.Guests must be a member of Hostelling International (HI) or Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk (the German Youth Hostel Association). Membership can be bought on arrival. Guests with residence in Germany pay EUR 7 (aged younger than 27) or EUR 22,50 (aged 27 and older) for the membership. International guests without membership pay an extra EUR 3.50 per night for the first 6 nights.
Guests aged 27 years old or over have to pay an additional fee of EUR 5.50 per night.

The location is good, it's near the HBF if you travel to Kiel by train. The room is nice and clean. The bed and pillow are comfortable. The staffs are nice and friendly. The breakfast and coffee are perfect too.

Nice clean and well organised youth hostel. All units of 2 rooms with spacious shared toilet/shower/washing facilities per unit. So you share these facilities with only 1 other room. Friendly staff and good breakfast with more options than anticipated.
