The house is in a very nice area surrounded with nature. You can hear lots of birds. Everything about the house has a very local, chill, pleasant vibe. Even just sitting in the sunny kitchen, smelling the fresh air, looking at all the green around, and listening to the birds was great experience itself. House is in a great location - same distance from Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea. Patrick was a great host, gave us lots of great tips what to do and see.

Great location, 100% nature. That's why the house is better than the artificial apartments at the Ritz. The host is a dream. I absolutely recommend this place.

The location was great!! And the host Patrick was so great and friendly. He spent time with us on the morning helping us to arrange our day plan. He gave us a coconut to plant at Kaimu beach and we loved him! The apartment is great all wooden with unique Hawaian decoration. We woke up with the chicken and all night we could hear the rain and the birds in the forest. The apartment also has a record player with Hawaian music and he left us a beautiful welcoming note and chocolates when we arrived. We will definitely gonna go back and explore more of Hilo!
