This family-run, 4-star superior hotel in Karlsruhe offers an original design, free internet and a rich breakfast. The train station and city centre are 15 minutes away by public transport.
The Hotel Der Blaue Reiter is named after the famous German art movement. It provides stylish rooms and suites with free wired internet and colourful pictures depicting the movement.
Traditional Baden and Bavarian food is served in the Vogel Hausbräu restaurant with beer garden.
The Durlach Gritznerstraße tram stop is only a 2-minute walk away from the Blaue Reiter. The Karlsruhe-Durlach S-Bahn (city rail) station is also just 7 minutes away on foot.

The spacious Junior Suites offer a combined living room/bedroom area, and a private bathroom with a level-access glass shower and underfloor heating. Some bathrooms feature a bathtub. All junior suites exude their own unique charm. The 33m² junior suites with walk-in closet are also ideally suited for longer stays. In some Junior Suites a third adult or two children can be accommodated in the sofa bed. Please note that this room category is located in the main building and also in the annex, 130 away from the main property.

The Executive Rooms are the most modern rooms on the top floor. The homely rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a balcony. Here you sleep in a 140-200 x 200 cm bed. The rooms are equipped without carpeting and are therefore very allergy friendly.

In the friendly and contemporary comfort rooms with a view to the garden side, you are welcome to choose - do you prefer a large continuous bed (160-200 x 200 cm) or two separate beds (2x100 x 200 cm)? The 25m² rooms exude a cozy charm and the Nespresso machine available in the room invites you to linger.

The Junior suites are large, trendy, innovative and simply worth seeing and located in the Dependance Kubus, a minute's walk from the main building. All these rooms have a large window front, a private balcony and are located on the side facing away from the street - some have been deliberately equipped with parquet flooring for allergy sufferers. The Junior suites have two separate beds (2 x 90 x 200 cm bed) or one continuous bed (200 x 200 cm).

Behind the large windows, each Junior Suite Deluxe has its own corner balcony with a view of the Durlach Turmberg. It is located in the Dependance Kubus, a minute's walk from the main building. The daylight bathrooms have a glass shower and a bathtub. A small kitchenette, a 200 x 200 cm bed and bathrobe are available in the room.

The 20m² rooms are modern and furnished to a high standard. The rooms facing the street have a spacious bathroom with a ground-leveled glass shower and adjustable floor heating. With the 140 x 200 cm bed, nothing stands in the way of a restful night. The economy rooms are additionally equipped with a Nespresso machine and a blackout curtain for a further feel-good atmosphere.

Fabulous hotel. Large comfy modern rooms with fridge. Great air conditioning and WiFi. Large modern bathroom. Very helpful and friendly staff, allowed me to upgrade my room for €20. Private hotel garage parking, must be reserved at time of booking. Hotel bar and restaurant closed on a Sunday, however there is a superb Vogel Hausbräu Durlach (brewery/bar/restaurant) next door which was open and can be accessed directly from the hotel. Breakfast had a superb variety of different dishes. Would stay here again.
