Fab ryokan in great location with welcoming staff, and beautiful internal courtyard garden. For noting, need to feel comfortable getting on / off floor, climbing stairs.Shared shower and bathroom facilities.

Location excellent to explore this relaxed city; room perfect (standard Japanese room- shared bathroom); common lounge area for reading; excellent value for money; great value breakfast with the best bread we had in our 3 weeks in Japan ( the proprietor told me it came from a long way away-I don’t think she meant France or Germany!) And kindness- we arrived 2 hours before check in and as one of our party was unwell they let us check in early so he could sleep.
