We loved everything about our stay at Villa Sethawadi. We stayed here for three nights with our daughters (11 & 13), and wished we had booked a much longer stay. We loved our beautiful rooms (rooms 2 and 3), right by the pool. Beautifully decorated, airconditioned rooms. The gorgeous pool overlooking the lagoon, lined by palm trees. The food, oh the food! Our family favorites were the smoothie bowls and pancakes for breakfast, the fresh juices and smoothies, and the amazing Sri Lankan lunches and dinners. In addition to meat and fish options, there’s also a lot of choice for vegetarians. What also really stood out was the incredibly high level of service. It’s very clear that the hotel manager, Roshan, has worked in the (high end) hospitality business for many years. He and all the staff are incredibly kind and service oriented. We also came here to kitesurf. Our oldest daughter took lessons and learned a lot and my husband, an experienced kitesurfer, wanted to try something new and took wing foil lessons. The kitesurf center is very professionally run by a team of experienced teachers. They also arrange all sorts of excursions for guests (eg an excursion to Sri Lanka’s largest national park Wilpattu (by boat! A shortcut) with the highest concentration of leopards). I could go on and on about how much we loved this place. We definitely hope to come back sometime, Villa Sethawadi stole our hearts.

From start to finish the service was impeccable. Roshan was the perfect host and all the staff went out of their way to assist. The food was excellent and we only wished we could have stayed more than one night!

Food was succulent 10/10 the cookers here know how do really good Sri Lankan plates from the breakfast to the diner Pool with the view on the lagoon (you can rent Kayak) People who are working here are very friendly and they help you if you need anything The place is very calm if you want a break in your trip
