I stayed at the Alpine Manuka View Cabin for two weeks- it is in a very quiet rural area (but close enough to Kaikoura to drive there easily within 10-15 minutes) with a fantastic view of the mountains and of the stars and the milky way at night. The host David and his son were quick to respond to any questions or issues I had. I really felt at home here and would return for sure if I will (hopefully) come back to Kaikoura some day.

The nice country spot near the hills was quiet and the perfect location for us, and still only 5 minutes drive to town. The cabin was clean and the layout extremely comfortable for our family of 3. It had everything we needed, especially after our day of mountain biking in the drizzle. We'd definitely stay again.
