The host (Shoko-san) was incredibly nice! She even gave all the guests grapes from her friends garden. The hostel had a homey feeling and had excellent location. The tatami was comfortable to sleep on and even though there wasn't aircon in the kitchen and living room, the sleeping quarters had aircons which was amazing after hot summer days out.

Really nice place to visit either Kagoshima or Sakurajima and to stay before heading to Yakushima.
