The fine print
Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents ("non tourists" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. For guests booking from outside of Israel, the tax is not included in the total price.Please note on Saturdays and the final day of Jewish holidays, check-in is 2 hours after sunset. Please note that public parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The business lounge is closed on Friday, Saturday and Jewish holiday. This property is dated and a little run down. The room was one of the better rooms booked but had two single beds pushed together, small bathroom and tight space. We did arrive on Palm Sunday / Shabbat which is one of the busiest days of the year. One Elevator was on Shabbat mode which made the 7th floor a bit of a challenge given the small elevators were already stressed from usage. Value for money is a tough call because Jerusalem is a very expensive city. Compared to other cities the value is not good, but we are not sure for this city. The real issue is of expectation, reviews and pics are nothing like the actual but the location is great.

The renovation on the rooms were so stunning. The location is perfect - close enough to the old city and to the bustling Ben Yehiuda street. Great value for money! And the shabbat Friday night meal was such a treat!
