The fine print
Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents ("non tourists" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. For guests booking from outside of Israel, the tax is not included in the total price.

I got lucky. This was a peak hostel experience. I was here over the Christian Easter holidays and stayed in a room of all women who were there for the same thing. Mix of ages from 20-60. The staff is great and were completely responsive. Everything was generally clean and the common areas were well maintained.

You never get the second chance to make the first impression, - and ALL staff from kitchen staff to cleaners made me feel home. They act as if they were the owners, very nice attitude. Breakfast was marvellous, bed comfy, bathroom clean, ladies in room paid attention to each others' sleeping during the Passover and Easter days. Felt also like family. Definitely this hostel again next time.

I stayed about 4 weeks in total in this hostel and all in all, this is the nicest hostel I ever stayed in. It felt like home in Israel. The location is great, right in the center, most places can be reached by foot and if you don't want to walk, there is a bus stop right in front of the entrance. The tram is also about 5 minutes walking distance. The staff is friendly and always willing to help you. Breakfast (optional) is amazing and huge! The general atmosphere is friendly as well, and you most likely will make some good friends. I totally recommend it to anyone and can only say THANK YOU! :)
