The fine print
Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents ("non tourists" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. For guests booking from outside of Israel, the tax is not included in the total price.According to Covid-19 regulations, entrance to the hotel is allowed only upon presentation of a valid “Green Pass”. We stayed at Hotel 505 for three nights and found the location to be very convenient for exploring the area on foot. The tram station is just a five-minute walk away, making it easy to navigate the city. We appreciated the vehicle pickup service to and from the hotel, especially since we had a lot of luggage and taxis cannot drop off directly in front of the hotel. We communicated our pickup request via WhatsApp a day in advance, and it's important to be patient when interacting with the staff.

central location, a few steps from the shops and the tram stop. We really liked being there because the staff was nice, the breakfast was absolutely quality, made from fresh ingredients, it was delicious! We walked a lot, the old city was 15 minutes away. A very good starting point for exploring Jerusalem. I recommend it to everyone!

Amazing location right next to the light rail, and within easy distance to the old city and the market. Happy hour with drinks and nibbles was a great extra, breakfast was good, and the room was lovely.
