Mango Beach House is truly a hidden gem that exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, it felt like coming home—only better. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at peace, yet there's always something to discover or enjoy. Every corner of the property is beautifully designed, with an incredible eye for detail. Each room has its own unique character and charm, making the whole stay feel personal and thoughtful. But what truly sets this place apart is the team. They go above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience. Olivia serves every meal with a warm smile and is always there when you need her. Fadhil crafts delicious cocktails that quickly become your favorites. Ru introduced us to the rich flavors of Swahili cuisine—using incredibly fresh ingredients—and thanks to her, we fell in love with this food for the first time during our long trip. Marco oversees everything with care and calm, adding to the welcoming, homey atmosphere. Lucas and the gardener make sure the grounds/pool area are spotless and beautiful at all times. And then there’s Beth and Dullah, the amazing owners. They are simply wonderful—kind, helpful, full of great tips, and always ready to assist with anything from taxis to excursions. Their personal touch makes all the difference. If you're looking to experience Zanzibar at its very best, Mango Beach House is the place to be. We left with full hearts, relaxed minds, and memories we'll treasure forever. Highly recommended!
Ana Paula “Finally in Jambiani. Finally in Mango Beach House :)”

For several reasons, we had to postpone our stay at Mango Beach House, in Jambiani, three times in the past. Finally, 2025 was the year for something long awaited. The expectations were high, but the reality surpassed them. A dream spot, right on the beach. The facilities, the outdoor and sea temperature , the sound of the crows, the breeze and the waves, the laughter of the children at night playing football on the beach, the food (delicious breakfast and wonderful meals), the friendliness and availability of the hosts made us wish that it could be our 'forever home'. And the truth is that during our stay we felt that it was also our home, thanks to the warm welcome from Beth, Dhula, our extraordinary chef Hemé (don't know how to spell it) and all the rest of the staff. There was also the opportunity to do some additional activities suggested and organized by Beth, namely a boat trip in typical Dhow, through the beautiful waters of Jambiani, as well as an unforgettable Mangrove tour, which ended at sunset, in a vibrant atmosphere in a bar in Michamvi. We stayed at Mango Beach House for a whole glorious week in the beginning of March. Our hosts, Beth and Dullah, and their wonderful staff could not do enough for us and we immediately felt part of the family. We very much enjoyed the tastefully and intelligently refurbished lodge hotel where the strong water pressure guarantees a lovely shower at any time of day and the robust wifi makes it easy to stay in touch with friends and family. The beautifully presented breakfast includes fresh tropical fruit in abundance and eggs cooked to order as well as local specialities. The lunch and dinner menus offer expertly prepared Zanzibarian delights with a twist. Beth organises not just tuk-tuks and taxis to Paje, the airport and other places, but also excursions to the serene Maluum caves, the spectacular Mtende beach, spice farms as well as sunrise fishing trips in a dhow. Mango Beach House is the perfect location to explore the whole stretch of Jambiani beach and the village itself. All in all, it was seven days in paradise and we cannot wait to return. Lovely place, near boutique experience, but with a very sympathetic and extremely tasteful simplicity and beauty. Very picturesque and well located at the Giambiani Beach. The buildings use the sea wind perfectly which completely allows for no air conditioning. Staff are great and very helpful. Beth and Dullah are a blessing for their guests. Breakfast was very good and abundant.
