Hotel The Public has a great location - it's just next to Istiklal Street in Taxim neighborhood. Taxim is known for it's bars, restaurants and party atmosphere. It is a vibrant place all day long, shops and cafes are also open till midnight or later. The hotel is especially convenient for people coming from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport since the stop for the shuttle bus is 10-15 by foot from it. It's also close to Taxim Square and a subway station. The hotel is in an old building but it's well renovated and the rooms combine old style with modern facilities. There's an air conditioning, which is a necessity, especially for the summer months. The buffet breakfast was tasty and included in our price. There's also a coffee machine in the room and we received a bottle of mineral water for each day of our stay as a compliment.

The location is great! So central, the rooms are lovely and modern although mine was on the small side, but for the price you cannot complain! Staff were friendly and breakfast was good, the focus was on traditional Turkish foods and the bread selection was good. The shower was lovely and warm and very powerful.
