This little studio with everything you might need for a break away from the city (including a private parking place) comes packaged as a cabin on the fringe of beautiful woods in South Lochness. The room is cheerfully decorated and has all the essentials, including one double bedroom and 2 armchairs that can be turned into single beds. Bed linen, towels, and toiletries are provided. Sarah, our super-friendly hostess, greeted us and gave us all the information we needed, and remained available should we require any more assistance. The location is quite simply stunning. The window near the kitchenette offers the most amazing view of the surrounding countryside and the top of the trees in the woods around it. No matter the weather or the time of the day, I couldn't stop being blown away by the scenery. From the studio, you can walk for miles around the woods or take the car and explore Inverness or the Highlands. Urquhart Castle is only 20 min drive away and Fort Augustus, at the bottom of the loch, is a further few miles. Dores, with its beautiful beach, is a 10-minute drive. Alternatively, you can just sit outside on the sofa and enjoy the quiet and beauty of nature. We had a really great time here!
