We stayed at Red Roof Inn South during Gen Con. We have previously stayed at the Red Roof Inn near the airport for Gen Con before and it was subpar (no cleaning service ever, no new towels, breakfast was bad). This Red Roof was under renovation while we were there, so they had no facilities or breakfast. However, the cleaning service came everyday and provided us ample towels and toiletries. The bed was clean and comfortable; the space was quiet. It was 10-20$ per ride to uber to the convention center and rarely took ~15-20 min. I definitely recommend this as a budget option for Gen Con. Most hotels this cheap will not be nearly as pleasant.
