We stayed in the Queen villa at Tokuto for 2 nights and wished we had booked for longer. Our hosts,Alan and Reiko, met us from the ferry and made us feel immediately at home. The villa is a beautiful old Japanese house that has been meticulously restored to a high level of comfort. In the fridge for breakfast are fresh eggs, home made strawberry jam, home made bread and other goodies such as plum wine.All the staff are helpful and lovely. They also offer delicious Japanese farm to table dining for guests (book ahead). The combination of charismatic hosts, gorgeous house and idyllic setting on Teshima make this a great place to stay.

traditional fully renovated Japanese house, it met all of our requirements not to mention the super great attention of hosts Reiko and Alan who made it a lifetime memory with our two kids

The house belonged once to the richest person in the island. They renovated it to the last detail, preserving all the original elements. You really have the feeling to sleep in a historical monument. The couple running it was extemely gentle, helpfull, dicrete and attentive. They pickup us at the ferry and brought us down to the electric bicycles, and even solved our cash problem (there's only one ATM in the island and is closed on sundays!) Thank you very much for everything!

The landlord Alan was very enthusiastic. He contacted the itinerary in advance and picked us up at the port, and introduced many local tourist routes in detail, also helped us book an electric bicycle. The hotel has a very traditional Japanese historical atmosphere, and the courtyard is beautifully decorated. The breakfast prepared local strawberries, which are very sweet. The kitchen utensils are complete, with all kinds of exquisite plates and porcelain.
