Staff were amazing doing their best to give you a great experience. It was obvious that they were passionate about delivering exceptional service: everyone from guides to those serving dinner were fantastic. Most people had worked there a long time and took real pride in the lodge. Nothing was too much trouble. We were heading to their macro tour and the guide directing us there stopped and showed us a laughing falcon. That kind of consideration for our experience was shown consistently during our stay. We took the public bus there from Pital and they kindly picked us up which was really helpful to our budget. Everything is run incredibly well and the bird feeders helped elevate the experience as there was always something beautiful to watch. Food was great and the accommodation was simple, clean and comfortable. The hammocks overlooking the beautiful, peaceful gardens were a bonus

Fantastic wildlife. This is one of the best eco-lodges you can find. A mature lodge. Food is excellent and the staff is better. Just a great place. Second trip there.

We spent two nights at Laguna del Lagarto Eco-Lodge and enjoyed it very much. The lodge offers a truly immersive nature experience, with stunning views from the restaurant that make you feel completely surrounded by the wild. The property is well-maintained and features its own trails, with a variety of daily activities available for booking upon arrival. Whether you're interested in photographic hides, guided walks, or searching for different species, there's always something to do. We can definitely recommend the short caiman tour in the evening and the King Vulture hides for photographers. A special mention to our guide Henry who has been passionately showing people around for over 20 years! The food at the lodge is excellent. While there's a set menu, we found every meal to be delicious and satisfying. The quality of the food was a pleasant surprise and added to the overall enjoyment of our stay.

The location set in the rainforest is so beautiful. While most of the route to the lodge is now paved, the last few kilometres is still on a gravel track. You feel that you are at one with nature. As a wildlife photographer I feel this is one of the best lodges to capture the amazing birds that visit the feeders Adolpho made us feel extremely welcome
