Breakfast was an added bonus. We loved everything. Especially staff. Only one complaint: beds were great but the pillows were extremely hard. But not enough to warrant a complaint.

The location is perfect to explore Guanajuato and the rooms have a lot of character. Breakfast is served right there in front of the main garden. I really liked staying there.

This beautiful old hotel is located in the center of el centro. Can't get any closer to the action. Restaurants, music, museums, shopping....everything. The plaza and immediate streets are blocked off to traffic making it less congested and a bit quieter. I would suggest getting a room on a upper floor and towards the back of the hotel because the mariachis and other small groups play full blast until late into the evening. I was in room 18 and could hear it but it was not very loud and although a light sleeper it wasn't a problem, bring ear plugs to be safe. The room was very spacious and the breakfast was good with seating inside or out. The day manager at the desk was very helpful and courteous.
