Infrastructure and location: 10/10 Medieval-style building where you feel in a real palace (not because of the luxury), 6 minutes' drive from central Guanajuato. Room confort: 7/10 The rooms are big, with desk, chair and resting area. We had to exchange rooms as the initial one had musty scent. Bed was comfortable and had had a proper size for a single person. Bedding and pillows are old. Very quiet environment perfect for a well rest. During the day great natural light, but at night curtains do not fully close to make it dark. The a/c is very old and makes a lot of noise, sometimes do not works properly so we had to ask for additional blankets. Cleaning: 5/20 Towels used to be white, but now are very old and even when they wash them every single day, are now grey and rough. Restaurant: 6/10 The overview said it has an on-site restaurant that serves international and Mexican cuisine, wrong. No international food at all. Breakfast and dinner is ok, not great, not bad. I never saw the bars opened on weekends neither the live shows dinner. FYI I spent most of the time in the restaurante because of the WiFi, so you may trust me Amenities: 1/10 The room door lock didn’t work properly. Had to request assistance 3 times to close the door before leaving the hotel. Some of the lights were broken. Wi-Fi connection only works in the lobby or the restaurant. Wooden furniture needs attention (I’m aware is old, but cleaning and shining would be nice). Hot water runs out quickly. One day we had to wait 2 hours and exchange rooms because the plumbing failed (did I mention it sounds creepy?). Front desk service 2/10: We took all tours available at the tour desk in the property. They do not start in time and do not complete the entire itinerary, and take no responsibility with the issues. My underwear was taken from the bathroom and didn’t care about it after asking for it 3 times.

The hotel has a really nice vibe in beautiful Guanajuato and really close to Centro Historico. Also staff is kind and friendly and there is free parking
