Beautiful well-appointed room. We made good use of the pool (extra towels provided!), and the seating in the lovely garden.

Great room, and lovely host with a fabulous breakfast. I enjoyed the location even though it's not central - it is not too far to walk to the bazaar, and as it is higher up the mountain you can get great views of the castle from here. You are also already halfway if you want to go to Al Paci bridge. The cafes/restaurants nearby are a little cheaper than central too.

Everything! Situated in a local area just outside the town, it has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and hills. The hosts are genuinely kind and thoughtful, their adorable little dogs Charlie and Darcy are very entertaining and love visitors - but not cats :)! We lunched at Taverna Sokolli (their recommendation) - which was very close to the accommodation (excellent - home cooked with fresh ingredients from the garden and good home-made wine). The pool was refreshing on a hot day, after a couple of hours at the Castle. As we relaxed at the end of our day, we were provided with deliciously cool melon and plums - all local produce. The bed was the best we have had in the last 6 weeks of travel through Italy and Albania - and that is saying something. The breakfast was a feast, and delicious! We were sad to leave, but we'll be back!

Alva and her parents were so nice and welcoming! I can highly recommend a stay at their place. The breakfast was phenomenal and the rooms were very modern and clean! On the terrace you could enjoy your view into the nature. We will definitely book again the next time we visit Girokastër :)
