Great location for exploring Ghent. The Smart Flats team were really clear with their information and came back quickly on questions. The apartment was spacious and plenty of room for three friends.

The apartment is located at about 2 min walk to the Sf Stephan bridge, therefore very close to the main attraction area in Ghent. It was very spacious and clean (room 302). We were 4 persons, but it could easily fit at least another 2 persons. Beside the 2 beds in the bedrooms, there were 2 sofas in the livingroom, one extensible. One of the bedrooms and living room were facing the main street, the other one was facing a lateral street. It was not noisy, although trams are passing by, but they stop sometime near midnight. As you are in the middle of the town, there are multiple restaurants, bars, shops. There are some small supermarkets also, but be aware they close at 6 o'clock pm. The access to the apartment was very easy, I received a code for the main door and one (almost similar with the first one) for the apartment's door. I found the access easy, but it might be challenging for people having heavy luggage or having locomotor problems, as you have to walk up some stairs, pass some corridors. Some people complained about the cold, but it was not the case for us, at one point it was even to hot, we turned down the heating. I did not notice air conditioning, therefore, if you arrive in the summer, you should ask if this is available. There is a nice small kitchen, with fridge, stove, microwave. There are cooking utensils, but no oil, salt, etc. Bottom line, I would definitely book it again if I would travel to Ghent again.
