The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.
Effective 1 July 2022 the Local Government Fee of RM 2.00 nett per room per night to be collected separately from room charges upon check in from all guests.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

We stayed for 5D/4N at Macamister Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff were very kind and for the price we paid, the room is very clean with everything that we need. Super happy with our stay. Location wise is also great, it’s close to many nice hawkers and restaurants. Very easy to go everywhere

Location is fantastic if you're a foodie, especially if you want Penang fare - you'll be spoilt for choice as it's literally everywhere near the hotel. Room was very spacious, comfortable and kept clean by housekeeping! Staff were warm and friendly.

Got an upgrade offer so the room is spacious and has good value for money. Friendly staff, the hotel is compact and good location. I would suggest a few areas for improvement, such as the window should keep up a good maintenance rather than leave it broken and difficult to open and dirty. Bathroom towels look aged and torn. Limited TV channels.
