Everything was perfect. We were given a warm welcome with a glass of madeira on arrival and a basket of fruit the following day. The hotel is a good 45 minute walk to the centre of Funchal but it's surrounded by good restaurants and shops and is right next to the promenade which is great for walks.

The interior decor was poor compared to the beautifully laid garden / pool area . The lobby resembles that of a hospital . The lounge tries to look eclectic but misses the mark .

We have stayed Dozens of times at this Hotel..... we love it..the staff are friendly and ready to help in any way.....Can't wait to go back.....
