We stayed 3 weeks in this unit. The location is an easy 20 minute bus ride away from the Funchal promenade. The #45 bus stop is directly across the road from the unit and is only 1 stop from the #45 terminus, making it easy to use the timetable. We happily used the #45 bus during the days we did not have our hire car. There is a large Continente supermarket about 400 meters away. The last 50 meters is a bit steepish on the way there, but helps carrying your groceries back down. Continente has an excellent bakery, seafood section and just about everything you could need. The centre also has a shoe/bag repair shop, a chemist, a hairdresser and a florist. The location also has excellent access to the VR1 motorway both East and West - in around 5 minutes you are on the motorway in either direction. The unit is very comfortable for 2 people - a large wardrobe, large sleeping area, great kitchen and work area and good sized separate bathroom. Also a good sized balcony with limited sea views. Kitchen has everything you need for a longer stay - oven, microwave, large fridge, hot plates, espresso maker, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Plenty of cupboards. There is a Burger King on the ground floor of the apartment block and a McDonalds over the road - we only used them as a backup 3 times during our 3 weeks but both are clean and OK prices. The 2 intermediate cleaning and linen changes were completed professionally. The apartment has a dedicated car parking space on level -1. Super handy and parking was easy to manage with a small car (Seat Ibiza). Enter through the Burger King underground car park and then through a remote controlled private roller door. There are two good elevators providing access to all floors as well as the two underground car park levels. WIFi is excellent at all times. Overall, we can highly recommend this apartment for a long (or short) stay for a solo traveller or a couple.

+ Not far from the exit from the highway. + A parking lot in the garage. + A bus stop just 200m from the house (11 min by #45 bus to Funchal's seafront) + A supermarket in a walkable distance (2 min drive) + A great view, the appartment looks just as on pics. + Well equipped incl. the washing machine. + Easy hand-over of keys, a great service. - The house is near a busy roundabout so that the place may be noisy during days, but no problem at nights (traffic gets low)

Very nice place, the location was great for us, close to the city of Funchal (we had a car so was easy to get to any place from here). The host was really really nice, she also gave us a list with Madeira's top attractions and places where to eat best local food. The view from the big balcony was very beautiful - seeing the ocean and the sunset. The place was quiet and comfortable. Definitely we will chose this place again, on our next stay here in Madeira!
