Casa do Papagaio's location, gardens, and breathtaking ocean views were a real highlight of our stay. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great, served at the time requested and in the room, ideal for morning coffee with a view. The room was cosy, comfortable, and spotless. A place that makes it hard to leave.

We organised our own breakfast. The location is about 250m high and about 6 km from the centre of Funchal. We often walked down and taxied back. But it is on a couple of bus routes.
