The views are amazing both of Mount Fuji (when there is no cloud at sunrise) and views over the lake; bike hire around the lake is recommended; free bus service to town

Great views of the lake and Fuji 🗻. Super convenient shuttle bus to and from the hotel and Kawaguchiko bus/train station. The hotel itself is a blast from the 1970s with attentive staff who are always watching. Get naked in the onsen with indoor and outdoor options (both separate for females and males). Authentic and charming Japanese-style bedrooms. Characterless restaurant for breakfast. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening as expensive and many local options, especially Nabeya which was AMAZING and a very short walk from the hotel. Top tip for the hotel: get a decent coffee machine to make cappuccinos! ☕
