Melanie's house was well equipped with a comfortable bedroom upstairs, and a lovely looking courtyard (unfortunately too cold and wet to try it out when we were there). With Melanie away, we relied on the kindness of a neighbour to point us to the right door (not well signposted). We happily catered for ourselves having bought provisions in the town's epicerie. (We were surprised how quiet Flavigny was in May). We locked our bikes in the courtyard two doors down: secure enough, but in the open.
