I grew up in Kefalonia and, although I now live in France, I knew exactly what I was looking for when planning this trip—and this house stood out immediately because of its location. It absolutely delivered. The house offers all the comfort you need for a short-term stay. It's calm, peaceful, and pleasantly cool during the hot summer months, with breathtaking views of the sea gulf, the Palliki peninsula, and Argostoli city. The hosts were wonderful—very friendly, warm, and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking to escape the tourist crowds, this place is ideal. Just keep in mind that having a car is indispensable. Kefalonia is a big island, and getting around means doing a fair bit of driving. That said, this house is strategically located—most major sights are reachable within an hour. The airport as well as Argostoli and Lixouri, the island’s two main towns, are only 20–30 minutes away and offer everything you might need: grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, and more. Some of the island’s most beautiful beaches—like Myrtos, Petani, and Antisamos—are also easy to reach by car. And one last tip: don’t leave without visiting the village’s local tavern. It’s truly exceptional—not to be missed!
