Excellent, personable hosts in Paul and Tracey. Characterful property with fascinating history - such a contrast to the anodyne chain hotels. Good food. Plenty of on-road parking.

Paul gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived at his beautiful home and he and Tracey were attentive hosts during our stay. The room was very comfortable and we had our own bathroom just along the corridor. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Excellent breakfast offered at a time of our choosing. Options for cold or cooked and plenty of choice. It was nice to meet and eat with other guests.

Impressive historic place, superbly renovated and decorated. Great blend of historic and modern atmosphere. Inviting site yard to enjoy a drink or some reading. Cosy room inviting to stay. Friendly hosts.
