The property is in a great location, short walk into the centre - shops, bars and restaurants - a big bonus. And although, paid parking is located across and up the road, it’s really very near so not a problem at all. Also, The Staff were really friendly and helpful, got to say. We did have a nice room, and breakfast was decent, not an abundance of choice, but still good.

Everything ! The receptionist was full of energy and informative, made us feel welcome from the off. Went to the the bar where the staff were great and friendly. The room was clean and tidy , and had everything expected and more. The bed was comfortable and white bedding , which is always nice. The outdoor area at the rear is excellent , perfect for summer drinking and eatting out door. The best of all was the breakfast!!!! Wow !!! The cost on the menu was 13.50 for a full English, which was worth every penny. Thank you all at the city gate , it felt like a loved family business and we will definitely be back.
