Was a very pleasant stay. Good hostel facilities. The pub downstairs was one of the nicest and friendliest in central Essen. The hostel is very quiet during the week

Location was amazing, especially since I was in town primarily to attend a concert nearby. Checking in was a bit confusing since check-in is within the downstairs bar and there was a party going on, but once it was figured out the rest was a breeze. Bed was comfortable and clean, the room and facilities were clean, and all in all it was affordable.

It was clean, the bar was nice, I think it's very popular along locals in Essen. They found a book and a headphone which a left alone in some part of the hostel, quite gentle. Location is also nice to go to university, but also is not far from the city center.
