The host picked us up from the ferry port, even though our ferry wasn't arriving till late in the evening. He gave us a detailed tour of our apartment, making sure we knew where everything was and how things worked. He even brought us some homemade treats to make us feel welcome, and left us water and local wine in the fridge. The view from the bedroom window was spectacular, it made being outside of town worth it. The owner was very keen to drive us in to the main town when our schedules aligned, which suited us as we were not planning on hiring a vehicle during our short stay. It was around a 15 minute walk from the accommodation to a bus stop for a free bus service in to the town which was very convenient.

Loved everything. A great place to relax and unwind on the extensive patio/deck soaking up all the peace and serenity that being in Syros gives you and away from the crowds but close enough to be enjoy this Greek island. Awesome views from both inside and outside the apartment where we spent all our time as there was always a slight breeze, heaps of shade to keep cool and plenty of daily action on the harbour. Our hosts spoilt us incredibly going above and beyond making sure we were enjoying our stay on Syros to the full, even with the unexpected platters of fruits. Not having a car was no problem as Maria would adjust her times going the short distance into Ermoupolis to take us. We would love to come back to Villa Marenosta - an incredible place and so welcomed. Thank you Maria for spoiling me on my birthday, one I shall never forget.

The owner was very nice to us and helped me and my friends whenever we needed something. Thanks to him we felt like we were at home. The view from the apartment is also breathtaking.

Our hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and spoke good English. They even offered to collect us from the port. A welcome drink and snacks were also offered and upon leaving, a little memento. So thoughtful! The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. The view from our villa was beautiful. To enjoy Syros you need to hire a car, which we planned ahead of time, so that you can travel to fantastic beaches, some of which are very sheltered if the wind becomes strong. The car is also useful to visit lovely restaurants outside Ermoupoli and particularly to travel from the villa into town. My wife and I would highly recommend Marenosta and we have travelled the world staying in all classes of accommodation.
