The house and room is simple but very nicely done. We had a view of the ocean from our room and there is a pretty terrace and garden. Ilse was a helpful host, even fetching us an iron when we asked for one. Everything was very clean, and although the bathroom is shared, we never had to wait for it. There was also complimentary coffee.

The house is beautiful with really nice views The beds are comfortable, the garden is amazing and very nice to relax or cook something in the shared kitchen and eat outside Even though the location is far out of the city center, there is a bus stop very close by with buses directly to the center You can also walk to Ribeira Dilhas and there is a nice trail nearby for sunset views on the cliffs

I’ve been in this place before and was super satisfied with space inside and outside, cleanliness and spirit of guests and owners. So I rebooked it and then understood that the former owners weren’t there anymore. After a day or two there I was relieved to understand the new persons in charge are no less interested in your wellbeing, that you feel comfortable and at home. They are very well capable of that - even exceed my expectations - and, should I come back into the area, I will definitely book there again. And they are seeking a new edge for the venue, too.
