Cleanliness,amenities,ambiance and location was great. We had an excellent stay in this apartment for 5D4N. Definitely a place to recommend and to stay agin when we get back.

Beautiful apartment with lots of period features. very clean and tidy, well equipped and well thought out, tea and coffee etc provided though coffee sachets would be better as we didn’t like to use an open jar of coffee that other people have used, plenty of mirrors around the bedrooms, plus magnifying one, all well placed for applying make up, doing hair etc. Decent hairdryer (not one of those rubbish ones that you get in some hotels). Good powerful shower and sufficient towels provided, even shampoo, shower gel etc if you’ve forgotten to bring your own. Not too far from the centre and walkable in about 15 minutes. The communal staircase and front door could do with a bit of TLC and we would have preferred the door onto the street to be locked and not just left open, but saying that we didn’t feel unsafe. The only real negative thing I can say was with regards to the parking, there is street parking outside but it is for max 4 hours only, it is free between the hours of 5.30pm and 8.30am. This wasn’t fully explained when I booked so it was a bit misleading I feel. There is free parking a few streets away but that was full so we had to move the car then put it back again as it stated the 4 hours could not be extended. A Christmas tree in the bay window would be a nice touch in December but that is a just an idea not a criticism. We would stop here again if we weren’t in the car or if we were using the car to get about in the day / visiting other places. The owner / host was very easy to communicate with and offer help or advise should we have needed it.
