We were upgraded on arrival, and given a very pleasant room on the fifth floor, with fine views over the Princes Street gardens and towards the castle

Great location, room was spacious and clean. Excellent shower and lots of hot water. Beds were large and comfy, had wonderful sleep. We requested twin beds as travelled as mother and adult son, and there was plenty of space for both of us without feeling on top of each other.
