The fine print
Unfortunately, Anchors Rest Guest House and Self Catering is unable to accommodate bookings for stag/hen parties or school leavers ('Matric Rage'). Any such bookings will be cancelled, with no refund given. The hotel apologizes for any inconvenience.Please note that the total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking for 1-night stays.Anchor's Rest is a small owner-run and managed Guest House. Check-in time is from 14:00 to 20:00 on weekdays, and from 14:00 to 18:00 over the weekend. The property cannot accommodate late check-ins.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Convenient location near King Shaka airport, secure parking, near shops and restaurants and short walk/drive to beach front. Friendly staff, good communication and made to feel welcome. Clean and comfortable double room with views and all amenities. Dining and sitting areas with lovely views and superb breakfast included. Tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend for short and longer stays.

Absolutely everything! From the very moment of booking. Feedback was prompt, courteous, and efficient. After hours check-in, with Thabisha, was such an awesome pleasure. Thank you Thabisha - you made me feel immediately welcome, and @ Home. Many many thanks also to Cilla and team, for accommodating a second guest, at such short notice. You guys are absolute Rock Stars! I cannot wait to bring my wife for the next stay @ Anchor's Rest, in Umhlanga.

4 night business trip. Location is excellent. 3 minit walk to restuarants and shopping centre in Lighthouse Mall.Accomodatiion excellent . Breakfast menu large and varied for both fresh and hot choices. Real value for money. Highly recommend this guesthouse for future visits.
