Hosts arranged a driver to pick us up . This was very helpful and our driver was great. We had a question during our stay and our host Fiona was very responsive and the apartment was clean.

Place was unique, really enjoyed the information that was provided about the area. Great communication with the hosts, and easy to follow instructions. Area felt safe and was extremely walkable. The amenities inside the room were plentiful, didn’t cook at all but the necessities were there or easily purchased at the 2 supermarkets minutes away. Water in the shower was plentiful and hot. Bed was comfortable, and room was bigger than most we have had in our trips through Europe.

The location is excellent, bus stop to O'Connell st, 2mins away and right outside apartment for return home. Hanlon corner Pub, was delightful, full of interesting characters and very reasonably priced food and drinks, we stopped there often on the way home from a days activities. The apartment is small but adequate, we weren't there much. Fiona and Liam replaced the oven with a brand new one when we enquired about some rings not working. The bed was adequate but for older bones like ours, slightly thin mattress. One important point I think should be mentioned when booking and that is the room we stayed in, is 4 flights of stairs up. We are in our mid 70s and I had recently had a fall, the stairs were definitely a big negative for us, especially when carrying large suitcases. We tried to arrange our day so we only had to go up and down once. If you're young I'm sure it would not bother you. Fiona was very understanding on the first evening when we arrived and offered a full refund but it's very difficult to find new accommodation in Dublin at short notice. Apart from the stairs our stay was very enjoyable.
