An excellent pub with rooms in a beautiful picturesque Dorset rural village. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner as a couple, and a family reunion lunch for seven. Management and staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our double room was spacious and clean.

All the staff without exception were welcoming, friendly and had a keen attention to what was required and when it was required. They could have been trained by the best hospitality and catering college in the country but was is more remarkable is that they all learned their craft in the job. The food was excellent. The establishment was all about service which tends to be a rare feature these days.

Beautiful location in a sleepy village with a chalk trout stream running through it. Even had a working phone box! Very very dog friendly.
