From the first booking to check-out, the Josifovski family made our stay at Villa Prespa feel like visiting our local family rather than booking simple accommodation. Communication was flawless and genuinely caring: they cheerfully arranged a midnight check-in, patiently guided us when we needed guidance regarding to our trips to near places. The villa itself is perfect—spotless rooms, comfortable beds, amazing breakfasts and an incredible garden which views Lake Prespa and the surrounding mountains. A place that we never forget! Highly recommended! Special thanks to Alec, who never once refused any of our requests. Hope to see you again my friend!

“Lovely and serene house overlooking Lake Prespa”
23 Aug 2024
This is a fairly new accomodation, but the premises itself is an old village house, which has been tastefully converted and refurbished for its current purpose. The area is very quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what we aimed for when choosing the surroundings of Lake Prespa for the part of our summer roadtrip across this region in the Balkans. The house benefits from a large yard, which continues into an apple orchard and ultimately the lake itself, on the other side of the paved road connecting the villages on the Eastern shore of the lake, from the border with Greece to the town of Resen. The real asset of the place is its owners, the Josifovski family - we got to meet and love 3 of them, Alec and his parents, Nikola and Mara. These people were kind, welcoming and warm, they were the salt of the Earth. They made us feel like we belong there, and we can't thank them enough for it - especially our son found in Alec a big brother, and in Nikola and Mara - two playful and care-giving grandparents, not unlike his own back home. Returning to the house, the room was clean and tidy, there is a mosquito net at the window, and the shower and bathroom work flawlessly. Breakfast was delicious, all prepared then & there by Mara's very capable hands. I take this opportunity to salute them again, and also to send my regards to another guest that's been with us there - Hi, Remco, it was lovely meeting you and hope to criss-cross paths again!

“Beautiful setting and lots of active stuff to do nearby”
30 Jul 2024
The villa itself is extremely high end. All the furniture and decor is really very nice, and the beds have memory foam mattresses+a topper so are comfy too. The balcony with the "apartment" room option was a lovely place to relax and have a glass of wine or play games. There are also plenty of other areas around the villa to do this though - and with beautiful views. The complimentary wine and snacks were really appreciated (and there's plenty of fruit from all the nearby trees to go round too!). The area/things to do: We walked or cycled down to Dupeni beach several times (it's about 35 mins walking and 10 cycling...uphill on the way back though!) - it's so so relaxing down there, there's a beach bar and hardly any people. You can swim from here unless you are being wimpy about the muddy entrance (which we were!) so would recommend cycling up to Slivinica (the c is pronounced like "ts") for a sandy beach complete with umbrellas and sun loungers. This took just over an hour and is largely flat. We also walked to the local villages further east - Ljubojno and Brajchino...they are cool to see and in a very nice setting next a river but the walk itself might be better doing as a bike ride, since it's just along a road. Eating: Delicious varied breakfast provided every morning, and we tended to have lunch/dinner at a local restaurant - the one by Dupeni beach is great - best courgettes I've ever had!
