Smeralda Beach Hotel is situated on a quiet stretch of Dikwella beach, a short tuktuk ride away from the popular surf town Hiriketiya. It’s easily accessible and has great facilities, the property is well kept and the pool is great. The thing that really makes this property however, is the staff. Never have I met a friendlier bunch of people, always greeting you with huge smiles and waves and genuinely happy to see you and converse. I would like to give a special shoutout especially to Nethmina, his attentiveness, kindness and overall determination to provide amazing service went above and beyond anything we expected. This combined with the properties location, food and amenities made this stay brilliant. Thank you Smeralda and thank you Nethmina! We will definitely return!

A lovely hotel which is enhanced by the fabulous staff. Felt very safe and relaxed here. All rooms have lovely sea view. Great breakfast (especially the Sri Lankan). Hotel team all on hand to help organise anything you needed from a vehicle to laundry and currency.

The staff were really friendly and attentive. The food was expensive but delicious! The hotel was very clean. It's on the quieter side of the area. We did some surfing on Dickwella beach, which was great and much less crowded than Hiriketiya.
