I liked the guided islandwalk with Ellen at the beginning of the stay. We got lots of useful tips and some orientation! The whole complex has a quite homely feel to it.

Its a nice clean room with the biggest bed I ever slept in my life and a really nice garden. A lot of snorkeling equipment to borrow for free. Great staff

Ellen got in touch before we arrived to let us know she would meet us at the harbour, Nazarene took our bags from the ferry and we walked with Ellen the short distance to Dhangethi retreat. We enjoyed the refreshing welcome drink on arrival and had a great chat with Ellen who recommended various places to explore and eat as well as a few shops to do a bit of shopping. We arrived just after 8:30 am so of course the room wasn’t ready, but we were able to Store our bags while we explored the island. The room was cool with a/c and a ceiling fan both of which work well. There was complementary water as well as tea making facilities but no fridge in this accommodation, however we noticed a fridge in reception which I’m sure you’d be able to use. The room and bathroom were clean and nicely made up. We also benefited from two pillows each we always think that’s a bonus. This is an older property with beautifully matured gardens in the courtyard. Ellen provided complimentary snorkelling gear, so we could enjoy the reefs. We were also able to use the washing machine to do a little bit of washing, something which we have found pretty much impossible throughout the Maldivian islands we visited. We had a good night sleep, it’s really quiet here. Our breakfast was a continental with omelettes sausages and toast as well as a cup of tea. Nuba cooks a mean omelette and sausage!👍 On our day of departure, Ellen drove us and our luggage to the port before waving us off. If we return to Dhangethi, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Ellen for a great stay.

A cozy and safe oasis with a great location in lovely Dhangethi. Ellen took good care of us throughout our stay, and communication with Ellen went flawlessly before and during our trip. The room air conditioning and Wifi worked well, the bed was huge and good for sleeping. Child-friendly accommodation, nearby playground and soccer field. Ellen and Nadeem organized memorable trips for us to Turtle reef, snorkeling and see the dolphins at sunset. Dhangethi Retreat will always have a special place in our hearts!
